"Suzuran" means "lily of the valley." It is a symbol of Jesus Christ in the Bible.

After the snow melts when the severe winter ends in Hokkaido, "suzurans" spring out from under the snow. It only grows to be 20cm at most, but is a beautiful white bell-like flower with a rich scent. It is beautiful and strong. Even after the toughest winters, suzurans will always grow under the snow ready to bloom.
